ZAM GEMS has the added advantage of having one of the best lapidaries on the island, where rough gemstones are cut and polished to further enhance and show off their true luster and beauty.

Every item of jewellery which leaves ZAM GEMS is given an “International Warranty” against any faults in materials or workmanship.
Before we pass on stones to Customers, every single one is tested, examined in detail and graded by the experts at our own gem laboratory. This unique care is guaranteed by our individual “Certificate of Gem Identification”

Advise for cleaning Jewellery!
Keeping your jewellery clean is an important part of helping it last and continue to look like new even after years of enjoyment. But unlike most fine metals, gemstones require special care when cleaning them. Many commonly used gemstones can be easily destroyed with typical cleaning methods.
An ultrasonic cleaner is one of the best ways to clean your jewelry. Unfortunately it can also destroy your jewellery if it is not used properly. The most important thing is to make sure that the jewellery you are placing in your ultrasonic can handle the vibrations and heat.
Most jewellers will be equipped with an ultrasonic cleaner and you could,once in a while, hand over your jewellery items for expert cleaning.
We therefore invite you to visit our head office in Colombo and offer free cleaning of your jewellery, as well as checking the settings of your stones and the clasps .
Jewellery Care
Store each item in a separate department of your jewellery box or in individual pouches in order to avoid scratching and damaging .
Avoid swimming in chlorine water and taking a bath wearing your jewellery. Don’t put any soaps, lotions, oils and perfumes on your jewellery, especially on pearls.
Gemstones and jewellery could be wiped with a soft, lint-free cloth.
